through, thought and though: three words in english that even confuse native speakers sometimes

early in my coaching career, through experience with clients ( haha through!)  i i saw frequent confusion between through, thought and though. to help students understand them, i had to just use my words though. ( haha though!). so…

when i randomly came across this merchandise for english geeks, extending the number of similar words english students need to be conscious of to 5, i knew i had found a valuable image!

in a classroom environment, i would almost always recommend against memorizing this list.  take them as they come, i.e. when u see one of these words in context, recognize it as a part of the group, focus on understanding its usage and pronouncing it correctly and move on.
