it was a weekend of high expectations for long anticipated entertainment events. avengers: age of ultron<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0came out in the u.s., canada and mexico; and the so-called<\/strong><\/em> (supposed) fight of the century between manny pacquiao<\/strong> & floyd mayweather<\/strong> finally happened in las vegas. one reason expectations were (promoted, pushed) so high is the hype<\/em><\/strong> (extreme publicity) that always surrounds blockbuster movie releases and title fights between high profile boxers.<\/p>\n

so it’s no surprise that several publications in the past couple of days have speculated on whether\u00a0age of ultron<\/strong><\/em> and mayweather\/pacquiao lived up to the hype.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

the phrasal verb means meet or fulfill expectations<\/em>. it is frequently used in the negative where it means disappoint<\/em> or <\/em>.<\/p>\n

sometimes u go to a movie with low expectations.<\/h4>\n

clearly age of ultron<\/strong><\/em> is not a movie people are going to with low expectations and while the ktvz review doesn’t completely believe this version of avengers lived up to the hype<\/em>, confirms what most movie goers are saying about the movie<\/p>\n

if anyone had any doubts that avengers: <\/em>age of ultron would be able to live up to the hype<\/em>, those doubts are put to rest<\/em> within the movie\u2019s first few minutes.<\/h4>\n

put to rest<\/strong><\/em> means dismissed<\/em> or buried<\/em>.<\/p>\n

is used to assign responsibility<\/em> for a fail.<\/p>\n

to be fair, mayweather was the favorite to win the fight, and his defensive style of boxing is technically brilliant but\u00a0often\u00a0not exciting to watch. \u00a0every boxing fan knew that before the fight.<\/p>\n
