autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>at :25, the video presents various <strong><em>queries<\/em><\/strong> (question) that i receive as an english coach. these <em>queries<\/em> <strong><em>lead to<\/em><\/strong> (provoke) a list of good practices for learning english that lasts until 1:55.<\/p>\n<p>at :55, the advice is<\/p>\n<h4>just make sure you&#8217;re <em>taking advantage of<\/em> every opportunity, because english is all around u.<\/h4>\n<p>this is the first of many uses of <em><strong><\/strong><\/em> which means <em>exploit<\/em>, <em>utilize<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/oh-you-think-fyzxsn.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-9652\" src=\"https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/oh-you-think-fyzxsn-300x250.jpg\" alt=\"willy wonka meme with the text::oh, u think i'm too nice and people take advantage of me? well that explains why u only call when u need a favor.\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" srcset=\"https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/oh-you-think-fyzxsn-300x250.jpg 300w, https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/oh-you-think-fyzxsn.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h5><u><em>take advantage of<\/em><\/u><em> can be a positive action as it is in learn from litter or a negative action as it is in this meme.<\/em><\/h5>\n<p>the idea continues at 1:05,<\/p>\n<h4>if u live in mexico, u walk out your door and english will <em>literally<\/em> hit u right in the <em>forehead<\/em>.<\/h4>\n<p>there is a widely criticized tendency nowadays to misuse <em><strong>literally<\/strong><\/em>. it is used for emphasis, but its precise meaning is in fact <em>precisely<\/em> or <em>exactly<\/em>. a piece of garbage might <em>literally<\/em> hit u in the <strong><em>forehead<\/em><\/strong> (top part of the face) but most of the other suggestions for practicing english will not literally hit u in the <em>forehead<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>btw&#8211;there&#8217;s no connection between <em>litter<\/em> and <em>literal<\/em> that im aware of; on the street. <strong><em>peripherally<\/em><\/strong> means <em>out of the side of your eye<\/em>, <em>not directly<\/em>. in this video from <strong><em>rocky ii<\/em><\/strong>, rocky&#8217;s manager mickey tells him a rematch with apollo creed is a terrible idea. at 1:30 he tests rocky&#8217;s <em>peripheral<\/em> vision.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Rocky II - You Got the Heart, but You Ain&#039;t Got the Tools (1979)\" width=\"758\" height=\"426\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ANKSWiZaJQ4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
