mindy, starring robin williams as mork (left), was a <u>spinoff<\/u>\u00a0of happy days.<\/em><\/h5>\n<p>from the original messaging group, a second group formed to share darker, more offensive memes. schmidt reported \u00a0that<\/p>\n<h4>the <em>spinoff<\/em> group exchanged memes and images \u201c<em>mocking<\/em> sexual assault, the holocaust and the deaths of children,\u201d sometimes directing jokes at specific ethnic or racial groups, the harvard crimson reported. one message \u201ccalled the hypothetical <em>hanging<\/em> of a mexican child \u2018pi\u00f1ata time\u2019.\u201d<\/h4>\n<p> indicates that the second group <em>came from<\/em> the first group. <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/mock-def\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong><em>mock<\/em><\/strong><\/a> means <em>laugh at<\/em>, <em>make fun of<\/em>. <em><strong>hang<\/strong><\/em> is <em>a form of <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/capital-punishment-definition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">capital punishment<\/a> or commiting suicide using a rope<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6543\" src=\"http:\/\/richyrocks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/judas-hanging-216x300.jpg\" alt=\"judas hanging \" width=\"216\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/judas-hanging-216x300.jpg 216w, https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/judas-hanging.jpg 256w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 216px) 100vw, 216px\" \/><\/p>\n<h5><em>in the passion of jesus, judas <u>hanged<\/u> himself\u00a0<\/em><em>after <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/betrayal-def\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">betraying<\/a> jesus, <\/em><\/h5>\n<p><em><strong>eventually<\/strong> <\/em>(after a while), adminstrators at harvard became aware of the <em>spinoff<\/em> group<\/p>\n<h4>university officials\u00a0<em>caught on<\/em>. and in mid-april, after administrators discovered\u00a0the offensive, racially charged meme exchanges,\u00a0at least 10\u00a0incoming students who participated in the chat received letters informing them that their offers of admission\u00a0<em>had been revoked<\/em>.<\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/catch-on-def\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><em><strong>catch on<\/strong><\/em><\/a> means <em>learn <\/em>or<em> find out<\/em>. <em><strong>revoke<\/strong><\/em> means <em>cancel<\/em>. \u00a0<strong><em>had been revoked<\/em><\/strong> is <strong>past perfect passive<\/strong>. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/richyrocks-past-perfect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">past perfect<\/a><\/strong> is used because schmidt is referring to the relationship of two events in the past: the decision to revoke admission offers and students receiving the letters informing of this decision. <a href=\"http:\/\/bit.ly\/richyrocks-passive-voice-page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>passive voice<\/strong><\/a> is used because the harvard administrators who made the decision are implied but not directly mentioned.<\/p>\n<h5><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-6538\" src=\"http:\/\/richyrocks.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/pi\u00f1ata-time-300x258.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"258\" srcset=\"https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/pi\u00f1ata-time-300x258.jpg 300w, https:\/\/richyrocks.com\/coolenglish\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/pi\u00f1ata-time.jpg 445w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/h5>\n<h5><em>this meme looks ugly, isn&#8217;t really funny and cost some teenager the opportunity to attend harvard.
