shortage<\/strong><\/em> is the same as in short supply<\/em>–there aren’t enough. this usage of take off<\/em><\/strong> <\/a>means grow in popularity<\/em>.\u00a0 finally,<\/p>\n

bu acknowledges<\/em> that ev technology is still developing and that the charging-station infrastructure “is imperfect.” that’s why the government incentive package worth<\/em> several hundred million euros is so vital. “it would have been<\/em> impossible to attract so many consumers otherwise<\/em>.”<\/h4>\n

acknowledge<\/strong><\/em> <\/a>means recognize<\/em>, understand<\/em>. worth<\/strong><\/em><\/a> is value<\/em>. it is an adjective, not a verb. would have been<\/em><\/strong> represents a hypothetical situation in the past (3rd conditional<\/strong><\/a>); without the government incentive package, electric cars wouldn’t be as popular in norway. otherwise<\/em><\/strong><\/a> means if it was different<\/em>.<\/p>\n
