earlier this week, national public radio (npr)<\/strong> in the u.s. reported on the progress of fracking<\/em><\/strong> (process of fracturing shale rock to extract petroleum and natural gas) in the burgos basin<\/strong> shale fields of northern mexico.<\/p>\n

npr explains that in december 2013 mexico changed its\u00a0constitution to allow\u00a0foreign investment in the petroleum industry. \u00a0mexico is looking for private investors because….<\/p>\n

when oil prices rebound<\/em>, interest in mexico will pick up<\/em> \u2014 and the burgos basin boom<\/em> may finally take off<\/em>.<\/h4>\n
