but while some have criticized lynch’s resistance to share info, his teammates, head\u00a0coach and\u00a0several\u00a0players and coaches from other teams have defended\u00a0him.<\/p>\n

he loves oakland to the point where he will give all the money … it means nothing compared to saving a kid. he’ll give that up<\/em> in a heartbeat to save a child’s<\/em> life.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

give up<\/strong><\/em> means sacrifice<\/em> or let go<\/i>. \u00a0using childs<\/em> as the plural for child<\/em> is a common mistake (children<\/em> is the plural) but child’s here is possessive.<\/p>\n

he was at [his old high school]\u00a0one day, and there was this guy who saw marshawn’s shoes and…….was like<\/em>, “i wish i could have a pair of shoes like those. those are so nice. they’re so tight<\/em>.” and marshawn was like<\/em>, ‘well, what size do you wear?’ and the little guy told him what size, and it just so happened<\/em> to be the same size marshawn had on. he took those shoes off and he gave ’em to the little guy and he left that school with no shoes on his feet. and it was cold that day, too.”<\/strong><\/h4>\n

like<\/strong><\/em> appears\u00a0twice here to introduce dialogue<\/a>. in this context, like replaces\u00a0said.\u00a0<\/em>it\u00a0is commonly used\u00a0when telling a story.\u00a0tight<\/strong><\/em><\/a> in this context means cool<\/em> or stylish<\/em>. \u00a0it just so happens<\/strong><\/em> is an expression used to indicate a coincidence.<\/p>\n
