DON&#8217;T pronounce the <em>c<\/em>. it refers to the heavier rock elements of asia&#8217;s sound, principally the guitar. a lot of the commercial music at the beginning of the 80s was based on <strong><em>airplay<\/em><\/strong> refers to asia&#8217;s songs being <em>played by radio stations<\/em> (essential for popularity in the 80s). <strong><em>flimsy<\/em><\/strong> means arrangement at pop and <em>beyond<\/em><\/h4>\n<p><strong><em>aim<\/em><\/strong> means that was the <em>objective<\/em>, <em>their goal<\/em>. <strong><em>soaring<\/em><\/strong> means <em>inspirational<\/em>, <em>transcendental<\/em>. <em><strong>tight<\/strong><\/em> means <em>precise<\/em>, <em>well-synchronized<\/em>. <em><strong>beyond<\/strong><\/em> means <em>past<\/em> <strong>emerson, lake &amp; palmer<\/strong>, guitarist <strong>steve howe<\/strong> and keyboardist <strong>geoff downes<\/strong> were both in <strong>yes<\/strong> and downes was also in the band <strong>the buggles<\/strong>. it&#8217;s possible younger music <strong><em>enthusiasts<\/em><\/strong> (fans) don&#8217;t recognize any of those bands. but u might know them without really knowing
