auroras \u2014 and steve \u2014 occur because the sun spews<\/em> “a glitter<\/em> bomb of charged particles” that stream<\/em> 93 million miles (150 million kilometers) toward<\/em> earth…. once<\/em> those particles reach<\/em> our planet, they interact with the upper atmosphere to produce spectacular light displays that shimmer<\/em> against the backdrop<\/em> of the night sky.<\/h4>\n

far <\/em><\/strong>in this context is much<\/em>. has risen<\/em><\/strong> is present perfect<\/a><\/strong>. risen<\/em><\/strong> is the irregular past participle of rise<\/strong>. the past tense, also irregular, is rose<\/strong><\/em>. rise<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (pronounced like size<\/em> or eyes<\/em>) has a meaning similar to raise<\/a><\/em><\/strong> (pronounced like days<\/em> or praise<\/a><\/em>) but they are applied differently. rise to prominence<\/em> is a common expression. raise to prominence <\/em>is NOT.<\/p>\n
